Empty Seats

Empty seats create a thousand dreams
Dreams of hope and many themes;
Waiting to sing for king and queen
Yet echoed voices go unseen.

One seat waiting to be filled
A strong ship only labor can build;
Time awaits for the most skilled
A friend awaits to be thrilled.

Thousand masks cannot occupy space
Ain’t no competition or a race;
Worthy and respect shall ace
Then learn wounds to erase.

A void not shown on the face
Guilt of loss hidden in the base;
Mind moved ahead with grace
But heart cannot be displace.

Said too much, committed mistakes
Shattered memory, head just aches;
Closed one can gain some stakes
But one is enough for keep sake.

Another seat longing for warmth
Need gentle heart and sweet form;
Patiently planning to transform
Guess love’s strength can hit any storm.

Have been told there is some place
Arms ready to just embrace;
Experienced every case by case
Only disappointment left its trace.

Loyalty is considered high
But fruits exist beyond the eye;
One should not fall to cry
But eyes are left low and dry.

Yet await for the smile
Looking out for that erstwhile;
Will go the distance and mile
Know it will be worthwhile.

Some come close, others disguise
Hypocrites known for deeper lies;
Still won’t stop to rise
Empty seats has its price.
